What is
an affiliate?
Affiliates are independent agency contractors that apply for
a 12-month membership/contract at a rate of $499 a year, renewable
annually. An affiliate will book under Cruise Ticket Centers’
CLIA/IATA number. 100% commission is paid out to the affiliate
on every sailed booking once the commission is received. The
affiliate package includes access to the on line Agent Booking
Engine (ABE) and the Agent Booking Center (ABC). Who Services the client?
The affiliate is responsible for his/her bookings and providing
assistance to clients on all customer service issues.
What is the commission structure?
The standard industry commission is 10%. Due to Cruise Ticket
Centers’ volume and buying power our preferred supplier
commissions range up to 18%. We pay you 100% commission. Often,
this is more than what an independent travel agent receives
and definitely more than you would be paid by most agencies.
Commission is paid on sailed revenue so there is never a need
for commission recall. The only thing that the affiliate is
charged is a $10-$25 administrative fee per booking.
Example: Sell a $2500 cruise at 16% commission. The commission
would be $400 less the $25 booking fee leaving $375. If you
were at 10% commission this same cruise would only pay $250.
What basic tools do I need to become an Affiliate?
Getting started is easy. All you need is an IBM compatible computer,
an internet service provider, a phone and a fax (either e-fax
or a fax machine). How do I pay for my
membership?
You may pay by major credit card, cashier’s check or money
order. We do not accept personal checks. How
are documents handled?
Documents are sent out via DHL 2nd day service or as e-docs
depending on the cruise line. The affiliate is not charged for
domestic document delivery. What is ABE?
ABC is the Agent Booking Center application, which allows you
to track your bookings and customers. ABC provides a multitude
of reports related to customer and agent activity.
What is CBE?
CBE is the Consumer Booking Engine application. CBE is an online
computer tool and search engine where consumers can go to and
key in specific details to search by cruise line, destination,
port or sail date and clients will have the ability to make
on-line reservations on the affiliate’s website. This
application can be licensed by the affiliate to enhance the
effectiveness of their website. Is this
a one-time membership fee to have the Consumer Booking Engine
(CBE) application?
No, you will pay the annual affiliate fee of $499. The annual
licensing fee for (CBE) $695 and the $100 monthly annualized
service maintenance fee of $1,200. Yearly renewal membership
is $2,394.00 Can I begin with the basic Affiliate
Program and add the Consumer Booking Engine (CBE) at a later
date?
Yes. However, you must have an active affiliate membership in
order to license and maintain the consumer booking engine.
Does the (CBE) Consumer Booking Engine on my web
site page reflect the same cruise rates that are being advertised
on the Cruise.com web site?
Yes. However, you do have the ability to adjust the initial
discount on the cruise pricing to your specifications. This
excludes specific cruise lines that no longer allow advertised
discounting. |
